Since its establishment, the Bank has maintained its responsibility towards its surrounding community wherever it is present and its employees have continued to set an example in serving their community, which has made the bank a leader in this aspect. The Bank realized the importance of its role in supporting the development process, as well as, realizing that there is a correlation between the development of society and the success of major institutions. Therefore, the bank naturally created a team of employee volunteers to provide creative and effective initiatives in the following fields:
Healthcare: Supporting the healthcare system by supporting free of charge medical units or by donating medical equipment to public and university hospitals.
Social support: Helping to improve the standard of living for people in need.
Education: Contributing to the development of education throughout Egypt’s schools especially in Upper Egypt.
In addition to the bank’s keenness to be present in all governorates throughout Egypt to provide high quality banking service and financial consultation, it is also keen to widen its presence on a social level, particularly in Upper Egypt. For instance, the bank donated a number of advanced medical devices to several university and government hospitals in various governorates such as Sohag, Qena, Luxor and Assuit.
But we believe that society needs more than just donations, therefore, the Bank sponsored major service projects with direct interest to citizens and with an aim to improve the environment, education and health for the largest segment possible, hence the bank supported a number of service projects in various fields including financing the MRI unit at the Heart Center in Aswan, which provides free services in the treatment of heart disease and surgery.
